Electrothermal Modeling - SiGe Manufacturing

Tower offers silicon foundry technologies - silicon-germanium (SiGe) for high-speed and high-power devices and radio frequency silicon-on-insulator (SOI), optimized to help chip suppliers create differentiated and integrating circuits for complex devices.

Designers use Tower's Process Design Kits (PDKs) to design and simulate RFICs (radio frequency integrated circuit) for a variety of applications using Keysight's EDA (electronic design automation) tools, enabling RF chip designers to solve complex problems with advanced technology.

Keysight, in turn, is expanding the modeling capabilities in its EDA software package to include electrothermal simulation of Tower's SiGe PA processes.

"This will help RF SiGe chip designers perform accurate thermal analysis of their designs," says Samir Chaudhry, Tower Semiconductor's senior director of design support.
