Siemens has acquired Insight EDA, a company specializing in integrated circuit reliability solutions.
Siemens says its proprietary Calibre PERC software helps in verifying the reliability of integrated circuits, unattainable with traditional verification tools. Siemens has now expanded its capabilities with Insight EDA technology, which helps identify areas and causes of circuit failure.

"Until now, we have been focused on meeting the needs of small customer groups, but now, by becoming part of Siemens EDA, we will be able to offer our services to large semiconductor manufacturers around the world."
