Installing resistors on a printed circuit board

The use of resistors on a printed circuit board (PCB) is an important aspect of circuit design.

The main function of a resistor is to convert electrical energy to thermal energy and control voltage and current in a circuit. Selecting the correct resistors on the PCB has an impact on the performance and functionality of the circuit.

To ensure proper resistor installation and good weld quality, attention must be paid to:
- the installation location, according to the circuit requirements, to avoid bias or misplacement.
- The welding method: surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT). The selection of the appropriate soldering method depends on the requirements of the circuit and electronic components.
- The welding process is carried out according to the type and size of the resistor. This determines the temperature, welding time, and the setting of the welding flux speed.
