PCB stators

PCB stators are available in a wide range of sizes and shapes.

They are therefore well suited for many applications. In a PCB stator, copper coils are etched directly onto the PCB. The use of copper coils reduces the weight and size of stators. Copper coils help in getting rid of cogging resistance, eddy current losses, torque ripple and stator hysteresis. This results in improved efficiency under various load conditions. In addition, the PCB stator greatly simplifies the automation of the manufacturing process.

Advantages of a motor with a PCB stator:
- PCB stators do not require much power to operate. Because of this, the battery life of the devices can be longer.
- Since there are no large metal components in PCB stators, they are lightweight and very small in size.
- Less susceptible to environmental factors and corrosion.
- Precise control, better control of motor operation.
- Increased flexibility and quiet operation. PCB stator motors have fewer moving parts, making them quiet during operation.
- Environmentally friendly and light weight. A small amount of copper is present in the PCB stator.
