Humane's AI Pin could replace smartphones

Humane, a company led by former Apple employees has released AI Pin, a handheld device running the Cosmos operating system.

The AI Pin is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). This means users won't have to download apps to the device to perform certain tasks. There is a built-in camera and a built-in projector for viewing information on the hand.

It is controlled using hand and finger gestures. There is also a microphone for giving commands and a translator that recognizes foreign language and translates it into English.

Humane is expected to put the AI Pin on sale on November 16 at a price of $699. However, the device will need to be connected to a cellular network for $24 per month to work. The network price includes a cellular carrier plan from T-Mobile, unlimited access to the AI and cloud storage.
