Key PCB Technologies: From Double-sided to Multilayer

Multilayer PCBs, which are a complex structure of alternating conductive layers and insulating material, are becoming a key element in the electronics industry.

Unlike double-sided boards, multilayer boards provide higher wiring density and feature improved electromagnetic compatibility.

The production process of multilayer PCBs includes steps of adding the inner layer, lamination, drilling and other manufacturing processes. This makes production more complex and expensive compared to double-sided boards. Nevertheless, multilayer boards offer significant advantages in signal transmission, power control, and mounting density for complex electronic devices.

Thanks to technological development, the structure of printed circuit boards is constantly evolving, opening up new perspectives for high-performance electronic devices.
