Compact, Efficient and Powerful Wi-Fi HaLow System-on-Chip

Newracom has introduced the NRC7394 system-on-chip (SoC) (Wi-Fi HaLow). It targets many IoT industries, including building automation, smart homes, industrial IoT, smart cities and wearable devices.

Key features:
1. Processor: ARM Cortex-M3.
2. Memory: 32KB for data in ROM, 1,088KB system SRAM, 48KB memory XIP cache.
3. SoC compatible with IEEE 802.11ah Wi-Fi HaLow.
4. Fully integrated on-chip 11ah modem, RF transceiver, unified CS support for Hosted.
5. Support for 1/2/4 MHz bandwidth.
6. Data rate up to 15Mbps.

The chip has two host interfaces, HSPI and UART, and a diverse set of peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, PWM (PWM), auxiliary analog-to-digital converter and general purpose inputs and outputs. The low-leakage memory contained in the NRC7394 can be effectively utilized to store important codes and data required for rapid wake-up from deep sleep.

The device is equipped with a universal power amplifier providing +17 dBm TX output power. It is designed to connect external FEM (external module) devices for applications requiring high transmit power. The SoC can operate with an external processor in Hosted and "AT Command" modes or utilize the on-board processor and I/O capabilities for energy efficient standalone operation.
