Board for parallel connection of 4 powerful batteries

French electronic engineer Mathieu Stéphane, known as Limpkin, has developed the XT60 Parallelizer board, which provides a safe parallel connection of powerful batteries.

The board uses a Microchip ATtiny806 microcontroller to monitor the current on each of the four batteries. If a fault is detected, it automatically disconnects the batteries and alerts the user with an audible alarm and a message on the LCD panel. One of the main tasks is to match the voltage of the batteries before connecting them to avoid current imbalance and the possibility of overload or fire. The XT60 Parallelizer blocks the batteries from charging or discharging until the fault is corrected.

The product is not yet available from the Stephen Electronics Tindie Store, but firmware and design files can be downloaded from GitHub.
