Orange Pi has introduced the new Orange Pi CM5 expansion board, which is a high-performance alternative to the Raspberry Pi CM4 board.
The Orange Pi CM5 features a powerful Rockchip RK3588S processor and neural co-processor to handle machine learning and artificial intelligence workloads.
The device has an 8-core 64-bit processor, Arm Mali-G610 GPU and expandable LPDDR4/4X memory up to 16GB. The Orange Pi CM5 also supports the standard Raspberry Pi CM4 connectors, but has an additional third connector. The Orange Pi CM5 Base Board includes various ports and features such as USB ports, DisplayPort and HDMI ports, SATA III and PCI Express, and various I/O interfaces.
Orange Pi CM5 prices range from $70 for a board with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC memory to $119 with 16GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC memory.
