ERI Inc., NGK INSULATORS, LTD. and Torex Semiconductor Ltd. have jointly developed an environmental power generation demonstration board (EsBLE).
The EsBLE integrates NGK's ultra-thin and compact EnerCera lithium-ion battery, Torex's ultra-low-power IC, and ERI's low-power wireless communication technology. This board measures temperature, humidity and pressure using energy harvesting sources such as solar panels and vibration generators and transmits the data via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).
Energy harvesting faces challenges related to the small amount of energy generated and the variability of power output depending on environmental conditions. By combining the technologies of the three companies, stable sensing and data transmission can be achieved even when the power of energy harvesting sources is unstable.
EsBLE TYPE1 is a battery charging board, an ultra-low-power, high-efficiency power supply board, and a system board for sensing, communication, and control, enabling inspection in a variety of specifications.
The EsBLE TYPE2 is a versatile board with all the features you need. By simply connecting it to a power harvesting source, measurements can be made with various sensors and data can be transmitted via BLE.
