A Fallout Pip-Boy watch that you can actually use

3DSage has developed a compact and wearable Fallout Pip-Boy watch. It is not an exact replica of the Pip-Boy from the game, but has a similar design.

3DSage's Pip-Boy has four functions: displaying the time, simulating terminal readings, playing audio files, and displaying a QR code. A built-in speaker plays programmed musical sounds, and the QR code display makes it easy to transfer references. Switching between functions is done by means of a special regulator, which is shaped like a Nuka-Cola cap.

To create this project were used: Microchip ATtiny85 microcontroller and 1.3-inch monochrome OLED-display. Due to its compact size and low power consumption, the microcontroller consumes quite little power, running on a coin-operated battery. The 1.3-inch OLED was more bulky than 3DSage would have liked, so after removing some components from the PCB, its dimensions were reduced. The components were then soldered onto a simple homemade PCB.

3DSage's Pip-Boy watch is great for quests and creating a unique Fallout style experience.
